The Hanged One

I recently got back from my trip back home and I find myself full of energy and strangely, revitalized. Initially, going into the trip I was apprehensive. Weary of revisiting places I didn’t want to revisit and seeing people I didn’t want to see, but this trip has changed my whole perspective. I feel I have finally made peace with my past and my home, and that is a very good and freeing feeling.

During the trip I had the image of the hanged one in my mind, turning it over, thinking on its significations. IMG_20160204_194714

This one calls for patience, and finding peace midst the wait. Sometimes, life places you in uncomfortable situations, where you have no other option but to wait it out, to resolve yourself to figuring out a way to find peace while in an unwanted position. Yet, there is hope, there is companionship, there is camaraderie in the wait. There are those that give us their company and their ear and their time, gifting us with welcome distractions during our wait. This also reminds me of a young bud, that has been planted, one does not see the sprout immediately, it takes care, sunlight, nutrition, and most importantly TIME, for the plant to flourish and burst out of the soil. The hanged one is similar in that it is a time of waiting, of internal growth, meditation, contemplation, inner alignment, refocusing, and stillness.

Needless to say, I have had a good week, my time back home was much needed, unbeknownst to me. I realized I have grown up a lot and that I have even more to grow.
