Monday
“Uncork what is bound. Begin this silvery day with a dash of daring, steal the key to open what is chained, and indulge in the unfettered elixir of good measure.”

Tuesday
“The swords clash with seeds of doubt, born in the shadows of the blades. Be martial in cutting through the steel.”

Wednesday
One of my personal favorite days for its many connotations. “A mercurial day of potential lying just within your grasp. Don’t hesitate to seize what is given.”

Thursday
O jovial Jove, grand and expansive. “Today the possibilities are tangible as the hands are kept occupied. Be aware of those around you that want to help, or have something to offer.”

Friday
“This Venusian day sees you entangled in a hot mess, swinging between temptations, and others vying for your attention. Take charge.”

Saturday
“On this day of containment, ride the wave. Opposite the flow of Saturnian ooze, today brings dynamic movement, keep the wheels turning towards what you had set out for.”

Sunday
Bright and fiery Sun, your rays reveal all hidden things. “Today, pierce the nexus and cut through what weighs heavy. When things loom dark and hidden, the golden streams are the best remedy for facing the unknown.”
Overall, this is a week of dynamic flux, with work and money at the forefront. Plus, the solar eclipse looms close.
As I had previously mentioned, I am going to be trying my hand at weekly forecasts, nothing heavy, no astrology, just simple, pithy statements to contextualize the upcoming week. As many already know, each day of the week has a classical planet association. I will play around with this idea as I continue to develop these weekly auguries. I hope you enjoyed this first installment.
I like Wednesday, too. By a stroke of happy coincidence, my one day off from work each week is Wednesday. So I like to think of it as my celebration of “Wodan’s Sabbath”.

Yes, wednesday has associations I really click with. Odin’s day is one of them. The trickster day. I like mondays too, the threshold day. I like to think about these things when I think about my week. Thank you for reading!

The Trickster day is apt, for sure, especially considering the connection with Mercury. But I prefer to think of it as a day of wisdom. You know, I only just now had this thought, but there are two days of the week associated with different versions of the Hermit: Wednesday is the Hermit with the lantern, and Saturday is the Hermit with the hourglass.
Why do you say Monday is the threshold day? Is that something to do with the moon?

Oh I like that, had never thought of those two hermit versions. I like saturdays as well. Really all days are good but some tug a certain way that appeal to me, depending on my mood. Mondays are the moon, the beginning of the week, and yes, I see the moon as a threshold before reaching the other planets you know. The most accesible to us, and associated with darker liminal concepts and spirits, Lucifer being one of them.

I always thought Lucifer was associated with the Morning Star, or Venus, which in turn is associated with Friday. But I suppose that’s a chain of association, rather than a direct one, and anyways, there’s certainly more than one way of interpreting these sorts of things. I do see now what you mean by the moon as threshold, though.

Yes, that’s true, the morning star and Venus association there. For me it went along the lines of lunar qualities coupled with the sublunar realm and the spirits of the earth, and as Lucifer is the ruler of the earthly liminal space, it kind of fell into place. But a case can definitely be made for Friday and Venus as well. It gets even more interesting, when one thinks about this and then adds gender into the mix, Lucifer associated with a feminine planet, Venus, and a sometimes feminine sometimes masculaine (in myth) “planet”, The Moon.

It’s actually not all that weird if you think about it. Venus is supposed to be the most beautiful of the classical goddesses. Lucifer was the “bringer of light”, an incredibly beautiful figure prior to his fall. Furthermore, Venus is very lusty and not above using her looks to tempt. She sparked the Trojan War in that fashion. What is Lucifer if not the tempter of humankind, one of the deadly sins with which he tempts us being lust? It’s certainly not a perfect match, but it makes as much sense as any comparative interpretation of myth. There’s so many similarities, but there are always differences, as well.
